Designer Sue Stemp, born and raised in rural Southern England, is a member of the CFDA with extensive industry experience. St. Roche were finalists in the CFDA + Lexus Sustainable Fashion Initiative in 2018.
The fashion, art and cultural references which inspire Sue’s designs are based on her time spent living in London, New York and LA. Her design influences draw upon her youth and British heritage, her experiences working in fashion in downtown New York, and now living surrounded by nature in the Hollywood Hills and embracing a more laidback West Coast attitude.
Relaxed, feminine, free-spirited and always with a soft hand feel, Sue’s designs for St. Roche are forever inspired by antique textiles, particularly Broderie Anglaise, and her love of scouring flea markets wherever she travels.
St. Roche is worn by celebrities, high profile women and influencers, including Olivia Wilde, Lily Allen, Christy Turlington Burns, Laura Brown, Ruth Negga, Amanda Seyfried, Nicky Hilton, Liv Tyler, Gwyneth Paltrow and Helena Christensen amongst others.
“My vision is to create beautiful handcrafted clothes designed for a modern woman who cares that what she wears reflects her values and lifestyle. “
